Great!  You made it this far, we assume you now:

  1. Have viewed the webcast that explains all you should know by now and….
  2. Have filled out the student interest form to organize your thoughts and ideas and….
  3. Actually have made up your mind as to where and when you should go then…..

If any items in 1 – 3 above are missing, go back to that one and do it again, if you have any questions come and talk with us.

Now:  1 – 3 are completed you know your own mind and it is time to get to it.  Ultimately click on the link at the bottom of this page, before that, please read the following.

To apply for study abroad at MTU is essentially a two step process.  First you apply to MTU itself using the forms that this page will take you to.  Second – if you are applying to an MTU program congratulations, you are done, if you are applying to one of our exchanges, partner programs, or provider programs then once we – MTU – accept you then you need to apply to the partner program – in all cases please bring your secondary application to the IPS/Study Abroad office 131 Admin, as in virtually every case there is something that we need to do with it too.
MTU application, pretty straight forward it may take as much as 25 minutes to complete all of the forms depending upon how fast you type.

Everyone who is an MTU student fills out the MTU application, the rest fill out the guest application.  Fill out your details on the Dean of Students’ forms and the Faculty forms, deliver them to the appropriate persons and they return them to us (if a guest student at your home institution).  Fill out and sign the waivers and health forms and the ISIC form and return to us – please note as the ISIC card is good for only 1 year we will hold that form and not issue the actual card to you until 1 month prior to your departure.
