Parade of Nations 2008

Students are invited to march in the parade in native costumes and/or participate in the multicultural festival at the Dee Stadium in Houghton.

Complete and submit the Float Registration Form if you are interested in marching in the parade. HERE for more float information including top prize amounts.

Complete and submit the Booth Application if you are interested in selling food and/or arts and crafts.

Note: if you will be selling food, you are required to attend ONE of the mandatory Food Training Sessions:
      Wednesday, August 8 from 4:00 pm-6:00pm, MUB Peninsula Room
      Wednesday, September 5 from 5:00pm-7:00pm, MUB Ballroom

Complete and submit the Performance Application if you are interested in dancing, singing, etc.

Parade and multicultural festival timeline:

Buses will be at the MUB from 9AM to 10:15 AM to take students FREE to Hancock.

Be at the Hancock Middle School on Quincy Street in Hancock by 10 AM to get your
flags and be lined up for the Parade.  Flags will be at the school wall.  4-H students 
will be available to carry flags and/or signs for countries that need help.
Lineup for floats, bands & countries at 10:30 AM.
The Parade will start at 11AM. Performances and food selling should be ready by NOON at the Dee Stadium.
RETURN flags to the Dee Stadium immediately after the Parade - hang them 
around the arena or in the flag holders at the entrances.
