Graduate Students

1. Complete and submit graduate application.  Application is available HERE. NO FEE FOR APPLICATION., and includes request for your statement of purpose (a brief, coherent statement of your purposes for graduate study, your professional and research interests, and your expectations for career and employment in the future).  Try to avoid lengthy descriptions of personal experience.
(financial support docs: only required if student not offered support by Michigan Tech)

2.  You will be asked to provide 3 letters of recommendation (academic preferred), signed, sealed and sent directly to Michigan Tech.

3.  Submit Test Scores.  Michigan Tech accepts and requires
TOEFL:   minimum 550 PBT (equivalent to IELTS 6.5 score), 213 CBT, or 79 iBT (check with department; graduate students may request ESL courses at MTU before beginning graduate program)
GRE (general) or GMAT for School of Business
Michigan Tech Institution Code Number: 1464  (for submitting test scores)

4.  Official transcripts from all post-secondary schools you have attended must be signed by the school official and sent by the school directly to Michigan Tech in a sealed envelope.

NOTE 1:   Admissions decisions are made by individual departments only.
NOTE 2:  Access to portal provided when application received (to track status of application).
NOTE 3:  Minimum cgpa to be considered for graduate admissions is 3.0 (4.0 scale); deadline for graduate applications for Fall semester is February 1 (may vary slightly by department).
